Ethics, Consent & Safety

This page describes the ethics and consent framework at Tantra Hong Kong — what you can expect, what your rights are, and how to raise concerns if anything feels off. Transparency here is not a formality. It is the foundation of the trust that makes this work possible. A practice that holds the body this closely is only as good as the framework that holds the practice.

Our Ethical Commitments

Explicit, Mutual Consent

Consent at Tantra Hong Kong is not a checkbox at the beginning of a session. It is a living agreement. The Alignment Conversation before every session covers intentions, preferences, and explicit boundaries. Consent is revisable at any moment — by either party. Either the client or the practitioner can pause or end a session at any time, for any reason, without explanation required.

Professional Boundaries — Always

All sessions are held within a clear professional framework. No sexual acts are exchanged for payment. Tantra works with the full spectrum of embodied experience — including somatic sensual awareness — but this is held within a professional context, not a transactional one. The difference is not about suppressing the erotic dimension of human experience; it is about the structure within which that dimension is held.

Trauma-Informed Practice

Our practitioners are trained in somatic experiencing and trauma-informed bodywork. This means they recognize that somatic work can surface material that clients did not expect, and they are equipped to hold that with care. Sessions are not clinical — they are deeply attentive to what is present in the room at every moment. If something arises that requires professional psychological support beyond what we offer, we will say so clearly and respectfully.

No Guaranteed Outcomes

We do not promise specific outcomes. Tantric massage may support nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, stress reduction, and over time a deepening of somatic sensual literacy and conscious relating — but these are tendencies reported by many clients, not guarantees. Every body, every nervous system, every session is different. We work with what is present, not toward a predetermined destination.

Confidentiality

Everything discussed and experienced in sessions is confidential. We do not share client information with third parties. Client identity and session content are protected. You will never be contacted about your sessions by any third party through us.

Honest Communication

We will tell you clearly if we believe our practice is not the right fit for you. We would rather you find the right support than book a session that serves neither of us. If you arrive at an Introductory Call and we determine that what you are seeking is better addressed by a therapist, a doctor, or another modality, we will say so directly.

Your Rights as a Client

  • You have the right to stop a session at any point, for any reason, with no explanation required
  • You have the right to ask any question before, during, or after a session
  • You have the right to revise your stated boundaries at any moment — including mid-session
  • You have the right to know your practitioner's training and approach before booking
  • You have the right to a clear explanation of what any specific technique involves before it is applied
  • You have the right to full confidentiality
  • You have the right to raise a concern without it affecting how you are treated

How to Raise a Concern

If anything about your experience here doesn't feel right — before, during, or after a session — please say so. You can raise it directly via WhatsApp. You'll hear back from the practitioner or principal — not an automated system, not a form.

Anonymous feedback is welcome too. We are committed to hearing it — including the uncomfortable kind — because that is the only way the practice stays genuinely trustworthy over time.

If you are considering booking and want to ask about the ethics framework before committing — that is exactly what the Introductory Call is for.
